This year Abraxas celebrates 50 Years of Building Better Futures! Abraxas Youth & Family Services is a national nonprofit organization providing a diverse array of services to over 5,000 youth, adults and families each year. The Abraxas story began in 1973 in the Allegheny National Forest in northwestern Pennsylvania. We have team members who have been with us for decades, and team members who just started this week. What binds us together is our collective goal of making a difference in the lives of youth. Across Abraxas we provide alternative education, outpatient counseling, in-home services, shelter, detention, residential treatment, and re-entry services. Abraxas offers a wide variety of career opportunities. Our residential teams are made up of direct care professionals, counselors, therapists, teachers, nurses, administrative professionals, transportation staff, food service staff, maintenance technicians and many others.
