Christie’s Private Sales offers a seamless service for buying and selling art, jewellery and watches outside of the auction calendar, working exclusively with Christie’s specialists at a client’s individual pace.

   The role primarily supports the following teams: Chinese Art and Contemporary Indian Art.

  <br> What your day might look like
 </div>
 <div>
   Administrative Support
 </div>
 <div>
   o To support the Specialists in logistical and administrative functions relating to the Department
 </div>
 <div>
   o Local property coordination for auctions and private sales
 </div>
 <div>
   o Assist in setting up and maintaining exhibitions and boardroom events
 </div>
 <div>
   o Maintain London tracker with all incoming property information
 </div>
 <div>
   o Arrange local collections for property located in the UK
 </div>
 <div>
   o Manage the transfer van requests to Paris, communicate all property movement to the Business coordinator in Paris
 </div>
 <div>
   o Liaise with our shipping department to obtain shipping quotes and apply for export licenses to France, Hong Kong or New York, licenses for value and CITES.
 </div>
 <div>
   o Work with the Business Coordinator in Paris and New York to ensure the works are shipped for prompt arrival in the sale site.

   o Liaise with studio for images
 </div>

   o Assist the specialists in the prepare of valuations

   o Help to receipt consignments
 </div>

   o Research archives for past auction prices

   o Keeping a record of competitor’s sale dates and checking catalogues received prior to the sale

  <br> What you’ll bring to the team
 </div>

   o History of Art Graduate (or other relevant degree)
 </div>

   o Previous work experience – either paid or voluntary – within the Art Sector
 </div>

   o Language skills (fluent in English plus one or two other languages)
 </div>

   o Self-motivated and highly-organised
 </div>

   o Ability to demonstrate client facing experience
 </div>

   o Strong IT skills with familiarity of all Microsoft packages.
