The CRM is responsible for retaining and growing the allocated bank of business across a number of sectors in India including Financial Services, Government, Corporate and Professional Services. Design Manager - Internal Products & Platforms

You must be English law qualified with 2+ years' PQE, have strong commercial and contract law knowledge, excellent drafting skills, and in-house experience, plus familiarity with GDPR and advertising laws.

You will negotiate high-value advertising deals, advise on brand licensing, and support key stakeholders in Commercial and Brand divisions.

 The Role / Position Overview 
 You will be the main legal contact working with key stakeholders in several areas of FT's Commercial division: Advertising (including negotiating high-value advertising and partner content deals), Commercial Strategy &amp; Insight, FT Studio, and the Board Directors Programme. You will also be the main legal contact for FT's Brand and Communications division (including advising on brand deals, brand licensing and third-party use requests).
 
 
 This is a 12-month fixed term maternity cover position, ideally with an early/mid-September start.
 
 
 Required Skills / Experience 
 Essential 
 <ul> 
 <li>Qualified to practise in English law, with at least two years' PQE.</li> 
 <li>A genuine interest in working for a leading business news and information organisation.</li> 
 <li>Strong understanding of commercial law and contract law principles.</li> 
 <li>Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.</li> 
 <li>Good knowledge of legal issues relating to advertising and brand licensing.</li> 
 <li>Familiarity with data protection laws, including GDPR, as they apply to commercial contracts.</li> 
 <li>Able to handle the demands of a fast-paced in-house role.</li> 
 <li>Confident, articulate, credible and commercially-minded, with excellent interpersonal skills.</li>

 <li>Trained at a leading UK law firm.</li> 
 <li>Some in-house experience.</li>
