Mission & purpose

Foster + Partners is a global studio for architecture, urbanism and design, all rooted in sustainability and founded by Norman Foster in 1967. Their ultimate mission is to create transformative and iconic structures that blend cutting-edge technology, environmental sustainability, and aesthetic excellence. With a purpose to shape the built environment in ways that enhance the quality of life, Foster + Partners aims to create spaces that not only serve functional purposes but also contribute to the cultural and social fabric of communities, leaving a lasting positive impact on the UK and global architectural landscape.

This includes our annual discretionary bonus scheme, life assurance, opportunities to join our company pension scheme, attractive discounts and enhanced family friendly leave. We also provide expert advice, education and guidance that give our people financial peace of mind.

We offer a medical advisory service for employees and family members facing critical health situations, providing counselling and referral services through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). We have trained Mental Health First Aiders across the practice who are always available to provide support and guidance to their colleagues, awareness events and workshops to reduce stigmas and enact positive change.

To encourage our people to live an active and healthy lifestyle, we offer discounted gym memberships and classes; on our London Campus we have initiatives including weekly yoga classes, massages, therapies and health checks and dedicated wellbeing spaces.

We believe in creating an environment to allow our people to flourish and achieve their full potential. We come together to collaborate and celebrate achievements. We have shared spaces to support informal meetings and discussions and Practice events. There are numerous sports teams that meet throughout the year and our summer and winter parties.
