The candidate must be working towards a BA or BS in accounting or a related field, eligible for the CPA exam upon graduation, have strong proficiency in technology and basic PC applications, and possess reliable transportation and the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

The Summer Intern at GBQ Partners in Columbus will assist with audit and assurance engagements, prepare financial statements, analyze financial and non-financial information, handle tax returns, conduct research, and contribute to the firm's growth and client focus while exemplifying the brand culture and developing professional skills.

The Summer Intern at GBQ Partners in Cincinnati will assist in executing various assurance engagements for clients, involving tasks such as preparing financial statements, conducting financial analysis, updating depreciation schedules, and assisting with tax returns. The intern will also be expected to engage in practice growth by participating in outside activities, building relationships, and developing leadership and communication skills. Client focus is essential, with emphasis on understanding accounting rules and regulations, collaborating with team members to identify client needs, and seeking feedback to enhance professional and technical skills. Overall, the intern will contribute to the firm's brand culture by exemplifying its attributes and complying with policies and procedures.
