You will conduct surveillance analysis, support surveillance system implementation, ensure data quality, and deliver operating model components while collaborating with IT and external partners.

We are assembling a team of Market Abuse experts who will cover multiple aspects of an industry leading surveillance framework. This is an opportunity to join and contribute to the design, development, implementation and execution of the surveillance programme, bringing to bear the expertise you have attained during the course of your career. Whilst the primary responsibility is conducting surveillance analysis at an expert level, the initial focus is supporting the implementation of surveillance systems (Trade and Comms) and partnering with IT, vendors, and external consultants to validate that the data is fit for purpose. You will also contribute to the delivery of the operating model, e.g. data quality, calibration, metrics, quality assurance, alert analysis, procedures etc. This is an exciting role, offering variety and the opportunity to be part of an immersive project resulting in an effective and meaningful surveillance. This role will form part of the Group Compliance team and will report directly to the Global Head of Surveillance & Monitoring. Experience Required: * Excellent understanding of market abuse risks and how they apply and materialise within commodity markets (physical and paper) – experience in respect of surveillance of Metals is an advantage. * Proven experience within trade and / or communications surveillance * Experienced in reviewing alerts and conducting risk-based, event-driven surveillance * Strong understanding of surveillance data requirements and interplays * Confidence when interacting with traders and an ability to build and nurture constructive working relationships with business partners and in/external stakeholders * Knowledge of the regulatory drivers for surveillance, e.g. MAR, REMIT, MiFID etc. Skill Sets: * is self-motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active and a team player * has an independent and flexible work attitude and is able to work well under pressure * has a problem-solving mind-set * has very good written and verbal communication skills
