    Assist the Senior Legal and Regulatory Advisor in providing legal and regulatory advice to clients on balance sheet and capital optimization strategies, ensuring compliance with current and upcoming regulatory requirements.
   
  
   
    Support the continuous monitoring of the regulatory environment, help interpret changes, and assess their impact on client business models and balance sheets.
   
  
   
    Help prepare and deliver monthly and bespoke regulatory updates for clients, ensuring they are informed of relevant changes and developments.
   
  
   
    Assist in structuring complex deals, providing legal support and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
   
  
   
    Support negotiations with insurers on behalf of clients, helping to secure favourable terms and ensure alignment with best practices for credit insurance policies.
   
  
   
    Assist in representing the company at industry forums and conferences, building the company's profile within the industry.
   
  
   
    Proactively engage with internal teams and contribute to discussions on legal and regulatory changes, helping the company stay ahead of industry developments.
   
  
   
    Work with strategic advisors, including law firms, bankers, and consultants, to help develop and implement solutions that optimize clients' use of capital and insurance.
   
  
   
    Collaborate with the Howden CAP and broader teams to help design and deliver unique approaches, innovative products, and tailored solutions for clients.
   
  
   
    Support the development and structuring of alternative capital vehicles, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
   
  
   
    Assist members of the team, providing legal support and contributing to overall team objectives.
   
  
   
    Ensure all client engagements and transactions are thoroughly documented and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
   
 
 
 
  Who we’re looking for
 
 
  
   
    Must be a qualified lawyer with a background in financial and insurance law.
   
  
   
    Good understanding of credit insurance policies and the Insurance Act.
   
  
   
    Knowledge of banking regulations and the regulatory environment, including future regulatory changes.
   
  
   
    Ability to assist in solving complex legal and regulatory problems.
   
  
   
    Experience in supporting negotiations with insurers and advising clients on best practices for credit insurance policies.
   
  
   
    Some experience representing organizations at industry forums and conferences.
   
  
   
    Ability to engage proactively with internal teams and stay ahead of legal and regulatory changes.
   
  
   
    Capability to help monitor the regulatory environment and provide timely updates to clients.
   
  
   
    Experience in supporting the structuring of complex deals.
   
  
   
    Ability to work with strategic advisors (law firms, bankers, and consultants) to help clients optimize their use of capital and insurance.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
