You need 5+ years in PCB design, proficiency in Cadence Allegro/Xpedition, knowledge of DFM/DFT, high-speed design, and strong communication skills. Teamcenter experience is a plus.

You will design PCB layouts, collaborate with engineers, review designs for compliance, maintain libraries, document processes, and coordinate with suppliers for timely production.

We&rsquo;re on the hunt for a Sr. PCB Design Engineer.

MDA&rsquo;s international footprint in the UK creates opportunities to work with some of the most exciting space industrial players in the country. Delivering all three business area capabilities in Geointelligence, Robotics &amp; Space Operations, and Satellite Systems, our UK team provides support to our European-based customers while specializing in the development of advanced space sensors for exploration missions as well as space-based communication technology. As our presence grows overseas, so does our need for new ambitious team players to help us advance our place in the Universe and beyond.

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers developing space telecommunication payloads, instruments, and sensors</li>
<li>Design and develop PCB layouts and schematics using industry-standard software tools</li>
<li>Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate PCBs into larger systems</li>
<li>Review and approve PCB designs for manufacturability and compliance with industry standards</li>
<li>Create and maintain symbol and footprint libraries for schematic and PCB entry</li>
<li>Document design processes and maintain project records</li>
<li>Work with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely production of PCBs</li>
</ul>
Required Skills and Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Proficiency in PCB design software; Cadence Allegro and/or Siemens Xpedition</li>
<li>Knowledge of PLM tools such as Teamcenter is beneficial</li>
<li>Strong understanding of electronic components and circuit design principles</li>
<li>Working knowledge of PCB high-speed design and high current power distribution techniques</li>
<li>Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT)</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment</li>
<li>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written</li>
<li>A minimum of 5 years of experience in PCB design and development is preferred</li>
