 Peraton is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Herndon, VA. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton's Department of State (DOS) Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program, for the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA). This initiative is intended to modernize and consolidate the operational environment under a common technology framework in order to better support the services provided to CA's customers. 
 
 As part of the modernization program, the DevSecOps Engineer will provide support to the ongoing implementation of the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline that supports the program. Experience with the core toolset utilized in the program's pipeline or similar tools will allow you to operate at the appropriate level for this role. An in-depth knowledge of tool interactions within the pipeline will allow to you support troubleshooting of issues. The DevSecOps Engineer must be able to quickly learn business workflows, technical architecture, and dependent systems of the supported services.

 <li>Supports DevSecOps efforts to ensure delivery of a demand model leveraging continuous everything to reduce defects while increasing productivity and time-to-market. </li>

 Peraton is seeking a motivated Principal Software Architect to join our team on-site in Washington, DC., providing information management and information technology (IT) support for critical technical work to operate and maintain the classified networks for executive-level government leaders. 
 
 The ideal candidate will possess recent advanced hands-on technical experience in-lieu of technical managers. For the Principal Software Architect position, we are looking for an individual that can hit the ground running and is familiar with a variety of architectural concepts to implement and we are in need of someone who possess hands-on technical implementation knowledge. 
 
 Our unique program delivers high-profile, technical infrastructure support for our customer and its relative nodes over the world. The team provides Personnel Management, Systems Engineering and administration, Software Engineering (SharePoint Development and Project Management/Systems Integration support), and Facility Management (Voice/Video Network Integration and Engineering) solutions. 
 
 The Principal Software Architect will be responsible for but not limited to:

For the Principal Software Architect position, we are looking for an individual that can hit the ground running and is familiar with a variety of architectural concepts to implement and we are in need of someone who possess hands-on technical implementation knowledge. 
  
  Our unique program delivers high-profile, technical infrastructure support for our customer and its relative nodes over the world. The team provides Personnel Management, Systems Engineering and administration, Software Engineering (SharePoint Development and Project Management/Systems Integration support), and Facility Management (Voice/Video Network Integration and Engineering) solutions. 
  
  The Principal Software Architect will be responsible for but not limited to: 
  
  
 
  Define and drive the overall software architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and scalability requirements. 
  Select and implement appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools for each project. 
  Design and present architectural solutions that meet technical and business requirements. 
  Lead the design and development of complex software systems from conception to implementation. 
  Translate business requirements into comprehensive technical specifications and solutions. 
  Define and enforce software architecture standards and best practices. 
  Mentor and guide software engineers, to improve coding skills, maintain code quality, and provide technical leadership and direction. 
  Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to align technical solutions with business objectives. 
  Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends. 
  Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with software development projects. 
  Document software designs and architecture decisions clearly and concisely. 
  Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality and maintainability. 
 **This role requires 100% on-site support M-F**

  Qualifications
  
  Required Qualifications: 
  
  
 
  An active/current TS with SCI eligibility is required 
  Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field and twelve (12) years of relevant experience; Masters degree and ten (10) years of relevant experience; PhD and seven (7) years of relevant experience; Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. 
  An active/current Security+ Certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months from start. 
  At least seven (7+) years of experience as a software architect or senior software engineer. 
  Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying large-scale software systems. 
  Expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., C#, .NET, JAVA) 
  Deep understanding of software design principles and best practices. 
  Expertise with DevOps and agile software development. 
  Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Kubernetes, JIRA, Bitbucket). 
  Experience with cloud computing technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. 
  Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.

 As an LSA, you will be a core member of a capture team, responsible for leading the design of innovative and cost-effective mission relevant solutions that could include systems engineering, applications, cyber security, cloud, and infrastructure solutions that address the operational and technology needs of our customers while helping to grow our business.

 Mid-level Cloud Architects support the planning and development of cloud services architectures for the Government mission data warehouse. The initial focus is on providing systems engineering and AWS technical support in reviewing, fulfilling, and monitoring the data storage requests in the data warehouse. Reviewing storage requests involves analyzing the mission requirements and developing a preliminary design to enable a rough estimate to implement the request and the on-going storage costs. The data warehouse makes extensive use of AWS S3 and related tools. Monitoring activities include analyzing the data in the warehouse to ensure an efficient use of AWS storage tiering for the data products based on their specific usage profiles. As the data warehouse matures the focus will expand to working with the senior cloud architects to analyze various architecture alternatives and coordinating with the developer to implement the solution.
