  There are more than 15 lakh schools in India. Less than 30% are inclusive. In spite of robust policies and access to professionals and resources, inclusion alludes many children with disabilities. <b>Inclusive education (IE) </b>in a broad spectrum is a process to include all children with/out disabilities in the same classroom, provide them universal ways for learning, opportunities for full participation, simultaneously providing respect to individuality and working towards removing barriers, which will result in harvesting their potentials to its optimum level. Additionally, IE is also about how we develop and design our schools, classroom settings, pedagogy, and activities so that students learn and participate together. At the outset, it demands teachers and communities to be proactively involved with students to address the various ways of their learning styles and provide specific accommodations.

  Universally, it is recognized that inclusive education is a boon for ‘All Children’ since it promotes harmony, acceptance of differences, openness, ample opportunity for active learning and also prevents and reduces the rate of dropouts.
