     <p>Open to undergraduate and graduate students interested in gaining hands-on practical experience in the construction environmental health and safety (EH&amp;S) field. Qualified applicants will assist project teams in managing EH&amp;S programs on construction projects.</p>
     <p>Preferred candidates should be pursuing a degree in environmental health and safety management or a closely related field of study.</p>
     <ul>
      <li>Assignments include office and job site; relocation to a remote site may be required.</li>
      <li>Transportation is required.</li>
      <li>Work periods are 10-12 weeks; 40 hours/week.</li>
      <li>Housing may be provided in certain situations.</li>

     <p>Intern Job Description</p>
     <p>Reporting Relationship: Interns will report to a EH&amp;S Manager.</p>
     <p>Tasks Assigned: You will be learning the environmental health and safety management aspects of the construction project in the field. Your experience will include some or all the following:</p>
     <ul>
      <li>Assist in safety onboarding and safety meeting processes.</li>
      <li>Assist in performing regular job site inspections to identify, document and recommend mitigation of hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions and verify correction actions s have been completed.</li>
      <li>Assist in evaluating various planning/permits such as: Hot Work, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Excavation, Steel Erection, Energized Work, Pre-cast Tilt-Up as examples for effective and appropriate mitigation techniques.</li>
      <li>Assist in incident investigations to include interviews, data compilation, photographs and completing proper documentation.</li>
     </ul>
     <p>Working Conditions</p>
     <ul>
      <li>Work is conducted in both indoor office settings, and outdoor constructions jobsite settings requiring sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.</li>
      <li>Work hours will be determined at the Project or work assignment basis.</li>
      <li>Noise level varies based on location.</li>
      <li>Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.</li>
      <li>Occasionally will climb stairs, ladders, etc.</li>
      <li>Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to, steel toed boots, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)</li>
     </ul>
     <p><b>Technical Capabilities</b></p>
     <p>You should be familiar with the following software: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Exchange, etc.</p>
     <p>Proven ability to plan, schedule and coordinate subcontract trades is paramount along with ability to interface well with Owners, Architects, Engineers, including the on-site management team.</p>
