NWHC delivers acute care services through two hospital sites in Mount Forest (Louise Marshall Hospital) and Palmerston (Palmerston and District Hospital). Our nearly 500 staff, physicians and volunteers provide a comprehensive range of surgical, inpatient and outpatient services; including 24/7 emergency and obstetrical care. NWHC proudly serves patients from Wellington North, Minto, Mapleton and surrounding communities. Over the last 95 years, NWHC remains dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate health care to every patient. NWHC is committed to ensuring a strong future workforce by providing teaching opportunities to future physicians, nurses and other allied health professionals. NWHC is part of the Wellington Health Care Alliance sharing administrative staff with Groves Memorial Community Hospital.
