  This position is responsible for developing and managing the Data & Analytics program for ZRL.
 
 
   Data science combines knowledge and practices from several fields to collect, assess, and process data meaningfully. Deciding what data to collect, analyzing the data, and interpreting the results guide the data scientist to discover significant patterns and trends that are useful to businesses and the clients they serve.
   
   This position is responsible for collecting, confirming, and interpreting data to determine useful information for the business. They will identify patterns and trends in their data to provide information about lucrative opportunities, necessary improvements, and potential innovations. This will assist the business with making major decisions in critical areas, such as product development, sales and marketing techniques, revenue management, and client retention.
   
   This position will utilize analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets using statistical programming languages (Python, R, SQL, etc.), and then use this information to develop data-driven solutions to difficult business challenges.
 
 
 
   POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
 
 
   Gather and accumulate data from disparate sources, clean, organize, process, and analyze it to extract valuable insights and information. Identify new data sources and develop methods to improve data mining, analysis, and reporting. Write SQL queries to extract data from the data warehouse. Create data definitions for new database files or alterations made to the already existing ones for analysis purposes. Collaborate with leadership to evaluate areas of highest impact for data science.

   Develop relational databases for sourcing and collecting data. Monitor the performance of data mining systems and fix issues. Collaborate with other data management resources within Zoetis to build comprehensive and connected reporting across all ZRL/Dx functions.
 
 
 
   Communicate findings to stakeholders through presentations and reproducible reports to help the management team in the decision-making process. Perform routine analysis tasks to support day-to-day business functioning and decision making.
 
 
 
   Keep track of and report on the trends and correlational patterns among complex data sets. Enable smarter business processes by providing data & analytics that can be used for meaningful insights. All other projects and work as assigned.

   The work of this role will span multiple departments and business units and will interact with various stakeholders across the Zoetis organization. This person must work closely and collaborate with multiple teams, such as ZRL Operations, Medical, ZTD, Marketing and Customer Experience, to ensure processes are aligned and support ZRL’s overall goals.    Master’s degree in management or business or in a related field of study, or Bachelor’s degree high degree of related experience
