About

  • Designed to excite and inspire students from less advantaged socio-economic backgrounds, who are currently in their first-year of a three year course, or second year of a four year course, this four-day spring insight programme will open a world of possibilities for a career in banking. Our Advance Insight Programme is an amazing opportunity for you to experience the inclusive and collaborative culture that we’re proud to have cultivated at Deutsche Bank.
  • Once you've applied, you'll be invited to participate in sessions to build your confidence, develop your employability skills and support your preparation to secure a place on the programme.

The Advance Insight Programme will consist of:

  • A four-day interactive insight programme introducing you to all aspects of Deutsche Bank and the Financial Services sector.
  • Interactive workshops introducing our business, clients, and our role in society.
  • The opportunity to meet inspirational leaders and role models from analysts and associates right through to senior management.
  • Employability skills workshops and mock interviews with the Early Careers team.
  • You will work shadow and interact with at least one division of the bank to better understand the sort of work you could undertake if you joined as a future summer intern.
  • Dedicated Deutsche Bank mentors in a junior and senior capacity will be committed to guiding you throughout the week and supporting your professional journey.
  • After the programme successful Advance interns will be fast tracked to a 2025 Summer Internship assessment centre. Your Deutsche Bank mentors and the Early Careers team will be on hand to support you throughout this process.
  • Candidates will receive continued support over a timeline of 16-months, from January 2024 to August 2025.

What we look for?

  • To apply for our Advance Insight Programme, you must be in the first year of your undergraduate studies, or your second year of a four-year course.

In addition:

  • Your household income is below £42,620.
  • You attended UK state schools only (or since age 14 if previously educated abroad)
  • You achieved minimum BBB grades (or contextualized equivalent) at A level.
  • We're looking for highly intelligent students who are ambitious, adaptable and have a genuine interest in a career in investment banking. We’re not expecting you to have all the knowledge, but demonstrating your motivation for this opportunity and willingness to learn is key.
  • We're open to students from all degree disciplines, and during the programme we will help you match your skills to opportunities at the bank. We offer comprehensive training opportunities that will give you the technical knowledge you’ll need to build a career with us. Above all, we’re looking for entrepreneurial people who thrive best in a diverse culture where innovation and agile thinking abound.
  • We're unable to sponsor visas for this programme, you must already have the right to live and work in the UK. Expenses for any in-person training are reimbursed.
  • Two virtual interviews will take place from mid-December to February and the programme will take place in April 2024, exact dates to be confirmed.
  • This programme is designed for students from less socio-economically advantaged backgrounds. Being inclusive is important to us and we want to seek to reduce any barriers to entry faced by disadvantaged students pursuing careers in the financial sector.
