FAYE BATE Career Talk

*UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHAMPTON STUDENTS ONLY* We are so excited to welcome Faye Bate on the 26th of Febuary to Avenue Campus! Faye is a Junior doctor and social media influencer, with 100k followers on Instagram, 43.8k on Tik Tok, and 193k subscribers on Youtube. However, she doesn't stop there! Faye also has her own ebook 'the Faye Bate method', the 'Busy Girl cookbook' and various items for sale such as phone cases and journals under the name 'Not so Lazy'. Faye talks about her amazing story of ADHD, mental-health, failing A-Levels, study methods, dangers of academic validation, life as a Junior Doctor in the NHS, the importance of walk-life balance, and opens up about difficult topics such as 'struggles with weight, disorded eating, and relationships. As well as going from medical school rejection to Graduating Medical School and now being a Junior Doctor with a very successful social media platform. Faye is an incredibly inspirational person who is the perfect example of resilience and the determination. We are so excited to welcome Faye and strongly believe that there is something for everyone at this talk! Our non-science degree members will benift from hearing Faye discuss versitility in her life as she utilises social media alongside her job, as well as benifiting from hearing her journey with ADHD, resilience in education, and work-life balance.
