About

  • Join us as we celebrate international women’s day by exploring whether women’s rights are fully protected by the law. The #MeToo and ‘time’s up’ movements have highlighted the issues that most women face on a daily basis and have started to shift attitudes but violence against women is a major problem world-wide and more needs to be done. In this real world lecture we will discuss some of the evidence regarding domestic abuse and violence against women and girls, outline what the police have established works to protect them and discuss how women and girls can expect to be safeguarded moving forward.
