On behalf of the UCL Debating Society, we are excited to announce the UCL Pro-ams 2024 that will be taking place on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024, at the UCL Institute of Education! The 2024 UCL Pro-ams will include four (4) in-rounds of British Parliamentary (BP) debate, with 8-12 teams breaking into Gold and Silver Finals, and Novice Finals (provided there are enough novice teams in attendance).

About

Whether you’ve been debating for years or want to try it out for the first time, the University of Birmingham Debating Society is for you. Everyone is welcome! This year, we’re going to be running weekly workshops on competitive debating, led by both our committee members, and debating experts that we’ve somehow persuaded to help us out. Additionally, we’re going to be running regular informal debates and socials, delving into complicated topics in a more relaxed atmosphere. To top this all off, we also send teams to national and international debating competitions throughout the year. This is a great opportunity for you to visit other universities and meet even more likeminded people.
