About

Digital Audit:

  • We're a specialist team within our Audit practice that works hand in hand with the external audit teams to bring together process, controls and technology expertise to deliver integrated audits in an increasingly digitised world.
  • There are two sides to Digital Audit:
  • Auditing Digital: Auditing our client’s technology to give them assurance that security and controls are in place. This includes infrastructure, Cloud, and applications. You’ll gain an understanding of end-to-end processes and how business applications are utilised, controlled and optimised.
  • Digital Auditing: Using our latest tools to help digitise the way we deliver audits through automation, artificial intelligence data analytics and innovation - as well as using PwC developed tools and industry leading software to audit our clients.
  • Our culture drives success, both ours and yours. It gives us a sustainable advantage. We want to create an environment where our employees feel empowered to work in a way that works for our clients, teams, and you personally. It’s not only about working hard, but working smarter and being agile to deliver exceptional client service whilst balancing work and life.

Programme:

  • Open to all, this vacancy is aimed primarily at inspiring and supporting women seeking an experience in professional services as part of our commitment to improve our gender balance by showcasing some of our female leaders. The programme focuses on developing confidence and skills and provides an insight into the opportunities available at PwC.
  • During this three-day paid programme you’ll get an insight into what a career at PwC could look like. You’ll meet mentors and buddies who’ll represent the variety of opportunities available across PwC. You’ll meet some of our Female colleagues to hear about their own personal career journeys, as well as from some of our networks focussed on Inclusion and Diversity. Through interactive sessions the programme will help you to develop confidence in a business setting and encourage you to bring your whole self to the workplace. At PwC, we nurture an environment where our people can be the best they can be.
  • Our Women in Business programme will be a 3-day paid programme, 16 - 18 April 2024. You will need to be in the UK to complete this programme.

What you'll do:

  • Our Digital Audit programme will give you a unique opportunity to focus on the technology aspect of the audit. You’ll develop a strong understanding of the role that digital plays in the modern day audit and how new technologies are deployed and controlled within business. In practice, you'll understand and test IT systems and controls, deliver technology enabled audits, including the latest on advanced analytics, process control and automation and the use of innovative tools. We’re constantly investing in audit technology and the skills of our people to keep up with the rapid pace of change and to deliver trust that is deeper, broader and more forward-looking.
  • As a Digital Audit technology graduate, you will develop deep technology and data skills through a structured training programme. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, industries and technologies. You'll be hands-on straight away, working at client sites or virtually from one of our PwC offices.
  • You’ll need to be a people person, tenacious and resilient. You’ll have exposure to contacts such as financial controllers, heads of IT or finance directors to understand and test IT systems and controls. You’ll be checking IT systems to ensure they are appropriately controlled by management and to check that data produced is accurate, highlighting and questioning any differences. It's investigative work where you’ll regularly speak with clients, using in-person meetings or leading-edge collaborative technology. You’ll be part of a variety of teams, taking real responsibility for the work you do.
  • Above all, your work is client focused, which can mean travelling to client sites and will involve working to deadlines. This often requires working longer hours to meet the needs of the client. It’s hard work but rewarding.

What you'll need:

  • You'll need to be on track to pass an undergraduate degree or above in any subject. We determine whether you're on course to pass based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.
  • You'll need to be a first year undergraduate university student on a three-year degree course; or
  • You'll need to be a second year undergraduate university students on a four-year degree course.
  • During the Women in Business programme, you will be assessed using a variety of methods to deem your eligibility to be offered a place on our Summer Internship programme 2025. By applying to the Women in Business programme, you are confirming that you will be available to complete the Summer Internship programme in July 2025 should you receive a subsequent offer.

When to apply:

  • To join the Women in Business First Year programme you'll have to complete and pass two stages of our selection process; the online test and video interview.
  • Applications for this role may close early should we receive a high volume of interest so we recommend prompt application to avoid disappointment.
