Description

  • Pima County's Finance and Risk Management Department is seeking a dynamic, motivated intern to join its Internal Audit – Procedures and Training Division. The successful candidate will work as an intern assisting in evaluating and documenting processes and internal controls for County Departments. Duties may include performing financial data analysis; examining compliance with relevant laws, regulations, contracts, grant terms, and bond requirements; and reviewing internal controls for computer software used by County departments. They will work as a member of an internal audit team under the supervision of an Internal Audit Supervisor or Internal Auditor II. Note:

  • The internship position is in-person and in-office. 
  • This classification is in the unclassified service and is exempt from the Pima County Merit System Rules. 

Requirements

  • Knowledge of:
  • Functions and tasks relating to the area of assignment.
  • Skill in:
  • Performing the functions and tasks relating to the area of assignment.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • A recent graduate from or currently a sophomore, junior, or senior at an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, business analytics, or a closely related field.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
