  • The Biologics Analytical R&D Intern will perform experimental studies to support projects and initiatives in the Biologics Analytical R&D line, as directed by the supervisor. Studies may involve manufacture of liquid and freeze-dried formulations and their analysis using an array of analytical tools and methods, including chromatography, calorimetry, and spectroscopy. The intern will document the results and data analysis as appropriate. 


  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a university, pursuing a Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related scientific field.
  • Must be enrolled in a university for at least one semester following the internship.
  • Basic pipetting, sample dilution, and buffer preparation techniques.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expected graduation date between December 2024 – July 2025.
  • General knowledge of drug product development.
  • Strong desire to learn about recombinant protein technology, protein analytical chemistry methods, and/or biotherapeutic drug development.
  • Hands-on experience with common protein analytical chemistry techniques (electrophoretic methods such as capillary electrophoresis, western blotting, protein concentration determination).
  • Ability to work with and learn data analysis software.
  • Strong quantitative skills.

  • Assist in developing and optimizing capillary-based western blotting methods to assess protein subunit assembly.
  • Perform method robustness and qualification studies.
  • Analyze and interpret data.
  • Organize and document data in an electronic laboratory notebook.
  • Author a guidance document and/or test method with recommended starting points and development steps for new molecules, as well as a report summarizing key findings during method development and optimization.
  • Deliver group presentation to share knowledge among the key stakeholders.
