Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in a quantitative or technical field such as computer science, electrical engineering, math, physics, or statistics (ideally with one year left in your academic program)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using mathematics and programming
  • Experience working with Python and with SQL in a Linux environment
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, and ability to collaborate well with others
  • A high regard for attention to detail
  • We’d love if you had:
  • Course work in data science, statistics, or machine learning
  • Knowledge of Python numerical packages such as pandas and numpy
  • Experience working with large multi-dimensional data sets

Responsibilities

  • The Execution Risk team is responsible for monitoring and mitigating firmwide execution risk and hyper-event risk. As an Execution Risk Summer Intern, you will focus on a research and development project related to automated monitoring of operational risks in the firm. This will involve research, development, and deployment of new metrics to surface and monitor aspects of execution or hyper-event risk. You will present your research project at the end of the program. Upon completion of the internship, you may be extended a full-time offer of employment.
