Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a PhD or Master’s program in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related field.
  • Ability to conduct and interpret scientific experiments, providing suggestions for additional experiments, including design and development of new assays.
  • Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship.
  • Experience with molecular biological techniques and mammalian tissue culture.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expected graduation date between December 2024 – July 2025.
  • Previous experience utilizing CRISPR and handling lentivirus.
  • Self-motivated; ability to execute with limited supervision and direction. Can work independently or part of a team.
  • Troubleshoot experiments, identify, and solve elementary problems in experimental designs, including laboratory experimentation.
  • Proficient in required software including Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Performing wet-lab experimentation towards the development of novel CRISPR technologies.
  • Creating new experimental models that will assist in creating new disease models.
  • Communicating data in a group setting and collaborating in a cross-functional setting.
