Requirements

  • Positive and solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Experience working with large and diverse groups of people (children, adults, students, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Eager to learn the business of sports and the ability to think outside the box.
  • Be passionate and have a team-player attitude.
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited College/University (undergraduate or post-graduate program) or have recently completed (within 6-months).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment during events with long hours.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate set-up and break-down of athlete socials, Welcome Celebration, Farewell Celebration, and more.
  • Assist and coordinate with PAMG staff in planning, scheduling, and execution of athlete socials.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with all departments on the PAMG team to ensure proper execution of logistics for the Games.
  • Oversee/manage specific event areas as assigned by supervisor.
  • Support community programing team in executing community engagement efforts associated with the Games.
  • Assist in recruitment of athletes and volunteers.
  • Assist with programs aimed at improving the athlete experience, such as travel packages, discounts, and hotel stays.
  • Assist full-time staff with event promotion, day-to-day operations, and on-site event management.
  • Aid in distribution of materials associated with specified venues/competitions.
  • Accompany and assist in directing athletes to competition venues and other ancillary events.
  • Welcome athletes on arrival and assist with check-in.
  • Assist Greater Cleveland Sports Commission with event management tasks for additional GCSC hosted events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
