You must be pursuing a PhD in a related field, demonstrate leadership skills, have lab skills, knowledge of drug delivery, and be proficient in HPLC/UPLC operation. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.

You will analyze literature, plan experiments, and conduct in vitro studies to identify and select optimal preclinical drug delivery formulations.

This is a reality for AbbVie’s Experiential Interns.</li><li>The Molecular Profiling and Drug Delivery (MPDD) group sits within the Small Molecule CMC organization.&nbsp;MPDD is accountable for a broad range of deliverables across various stages of drug discovery and development. During lead optimization and through candidate selection, MPDD scientists utilize state of the art automation and computational tools supported by expertise in biopharmaceutics, drug delivery, and solid-state chemistry to collaboratively&nbsp;progress candidates with higher probability of success into&nbsp;development and advise clinical formulation strategy.</li><li>Under supervision of MPDD scientists, the intern will advance our drug delivery capabilities at the discovery-development interface, with a focus on beyond-rule-of-five molecules (bRo5), such as degraders.&nbsp;Specifically, the intern will be responsible for assessing preclinical formulation vehicles, such as lipids, to optimize in vivo exposures of bRo5 molecules via various routes of administration.&nbsp;The intern will be responsible for conducting in-vitro experiments to establish preclinical formulation platform(s) to complement existing formulation strategies.</li></ul>
