Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a PhD in Chemical/Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Analytical Chemistry, Materials Science, or other related field.
  • Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects.)
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expected graduation date between December 2024 – July 2025 .
  • Fundamental knowledge of physicochemical properties, biopharmaceutical properties, and pharmacokinetics as they relate to drug delivery and formulation design.
  • Proficient in basic l aboratory skills including pipetting, solution preparation, and dilution.
  • Experience in HPLC/UPLC operation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot experiments and identify/solve problems in experimental designs, including laboratory experimentation.
  • Ability to apply research findings and interpret/analyze results; develop and implement a logical and strategic plan of action.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-performance culture with excellent time management, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in required software including Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough literature analysis to identify formulation compositions of interest.
  • Develop hypothesis-driven experimental plans to screen formulations efficiently.
  • Independently execute in vitro experiments to characterize and select optimal formulations.
