What is the duration of the student placement?
The student placement will last for one year, starting in the summer of 2025.
What departments are available for placements?
Placement opportunities are available in various departments, including Mechanical Design ICE, Mechanical Development, Mechanical Design ERS, Electrical Design, Thermodynamics, Calibration & Controls, Validation & Testing, Durability Engineering, Planning & Business Performance, Trackside Engineering, and R&D (test).
What qualifications are required to apply for the placement?
Candidates should have completed at least one year of undergraduate study in a mathematics, physics, or engineering-based degree course.
What skills and experiences are preferred for applicants?
Preferred applicants should have knowledge of relevant engineering software (such as CAD, FEA, CFD, or system modelling), experience in writing technical reports, and experience in handling and understanding data from testing.
What are the key attributes we are looking for in a candidate?
We are looking for candidates who have a positive attitude, can work on multiple tasks simultaneously, possess excellent communication skills, have a hands-on approach to problem solving, and can logically investigate faults.
