What is the duration of the internship?
The internship will take place over Summer 2025 and will last between 8 to 12 weeks.
What qualifications are required to apply for this internship?
Candidates should be working towards or have obtained a minimum 2:1 bachelor's degree and preferably a Master's in a quantitative subject such as data science, applied statistics, economics, or mathematics.
What programming skills are essential for this role?
Good skills in R and the Tidyverse tools are essential, along with familiarity with tools such as Git/GitHub, Python, STATA, Mathematica/Matlab, GAMS, and PowerBI.
Is there an opportunity for mentorship during the internship?
Yes, throughout the internship, you will be supported by an experienced mentor and a graduate buddy.
Are there specific topics in economics that interns are expected to be interested in?
Yes, interns should have a proven interest in topics at the intersection of data science and economics, such as causal inference, regression modeling, microeconomics, or behavioral science.
Can I apply if I don't meet all the requirements?
Yes, if you feel that you could bring a growth mindset to areas where you may not fully meet the requirements, you are still encouraged to apply.
What skills will I develop during the internship?
You will learn to deliver data science projects, work with GitHub, source data, adapt analysis based on data availability, and break down data science concepts for others.
What is the application deadline for this internship?

Is fluency in English required for this internship?
Yes, fluency in English is required. A second language is also desirable, but not essential.
