Requirements

  • Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2025.
  • Be majoring in or having majored in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
  • Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2025.
  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
  • The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
  • Experience with CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, Siemens NX, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Machine Design coursework and/or project experience

Responsibilities

  • Northrop Grumman is seeking Mechanical Engineers for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Ocean Springs, MS. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Maritime/Land Systems and Sensors division, Marine Systems business unit. Marine Systems is a leading provider of launcher systems, propulsion systems, and power generation systems for naval surface ships and submarines.
