Who is eligible to apply for the internship?
Graduate-level students who are expected to graduate between December 2025 and August 2026 are eligible to apply.
Is the internship paid?
Yes, the internship is a paid position.
What type of projects will interns work on?
Interns may work on projects related to stakeholder engagement, data analysis and impact reporting, sustainability research, ESG strategy and metrics support, and special projects.
Will interns receive mentorship during the program?
Yes, interns will receive mentorship from seasoned professionals and support from a dedicated Program Manager.
Are there opportunities for networking with Walmart leaders?
Yes, interns will have the opportunity to network with Global Responsibility professionals and gain direct exposure to leadership, including the Chief Sustainability Officer and the President of the Walmart Foundation.
What qualifications are preferred for the internship?
Preferred qualifications include majors in Environmental Management, Public Administration, Sustainability Management, Public Policy, Environmental Science and Management, Data Science, Philanthropic Studies, or related programs. Experience in business, sustainability, public policy, or social impact is also preferred.
Are housing and relocation benefits provided?
Yes, Walmart offers housing and relocation benefits to interns who meet the qualification criteria.
Is sponsorship required for employment after the internship?
No, a successful candidate will not require sponsorship from Walmart for authorization to work now or in the future.
