What is the duration of the internship?
The internship is for 10 weeks, running from June 2 to August 8, 2025.
What are the academic requirements to apply for the internship?
Applicants must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
Is prior experience required for this internship?
No prior experience is specifically required, but candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
What kind of projects will I work on as an intern?
Interns will assist Project Engineers with various design and development projects and will be responsible for at least one engineering project related to the design of aircraft structural or avionics products.
What will I learn during the internship?
You will gain hands-on experience in engineering design, CAD/CAE applications, and prototype testing, along with valuable insights into the aviation industry.
Are there mentorship opportunities available during the internship?
Yes, there are mentorship and networking opportunities available across the business and with leadership during the internship.
Will I receive any financial compensation for this internship?
Yes, interns will receive a stipend of $2,500 for the duration of the internship.
What is the dress code for the internship?
There is a relaxed dress code with a "Dress For Your Day" policy.
Will I work onsite or remotely?
The internship will be conducted onsite at the Bell Textron facility in Piney Flats, Tennessee.
