Requirements

  • Second year engineering student or higher is preferred with a commitment to work a minimum of 24 hrs/week
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from multi-functional teams
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Suite applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
  • Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and be willing to wear personal protective equipment based on process and food safety requirements

Responsibilities

  • Expect 50% of time engaging with staff members on the shop floor gathering information (process steps, relevant photos, safety requirements and other parameters) to develop new and modify existing procedures.
  • Expect 50% of time spent at a PC constructing procedures using Microsoft applications.
  • Any downtime from procedure development could be spent sorting and cataloging the sites spare parts inventory or assisting with process or project engineering tasks.
  • Perform other duties as required.
