Responsibilities

  • Develop a complete understanding of the manufacturing process for perfusion and fed-batch products produced within the Lexington upstream/downstream manufacturing area, including a detailed hour by hour manufacturing schedule.
  • Create a labor usage model for each commercial product as well as routine non-product tasks performed by manufacturing associates.
  • Identify opportunities for reducing waste through analysis of production variance reports.
  • Understanding of manufacturing process for biologic therapies including basic sequence and core scientific principles
  • Understanding of equipment, systems and technologies employed for manufacture of biologic therapies
  • Awareness of direct labor and material use for manufacture of biologic therapies including opportunities for economic optimization
  • Awareness of GMP principles associated with manufacture of biologic therapies including good data and documentation practices
