Requirements

  • Qualifications:
  • Currently attending an accredited college or organization as an accounting or finance major; preferably completing their sophomore year
  • Intermediate PC skills are preferred with an emphasis on Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated and a team player
  • Ability to work 37.5 hours a week during the Summer with the potential of extension during the academic year

Responsibilities

  • Post journal entries into an integrated ERP system
  • Assist in accrual accounting and have exposure to requirements of regulated and publicly traded organizations
  • Develop and execute corporate policies
  • Prepare semi-complex journal entries utilizing appropriate accounting classifications
  • Learn analytical skills for complex general ledger accounts
