  • Interns will gain knowledge and experience through exciting and real-life learning opportunities. Interns must work in accordance with DTNA’s core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June.
  • Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability
  • Internship includes contributions towards the development of and advancements in commercial vehicle transportation efficiencies using the cellular vehicle to "X" (CV2X) communication systems. Specifically the impacts of operational disturbances on commercial vehicles in traffic is the focus. Disturbances include unexpected slowdowns due to congestion, unknown traffic light status, cut-ins and merges into a platoon of commercial vehicles.


  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s/PhD Program from Auburn University
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Creative mindset
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Software programming in Matlab toolchain, Python, C++
  • Software versioning tools e.g. Git
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to take a broad problem statement and determine the necessary steps and knowledge to solve the problem plus the ability execute those on the plan driven by those steps and adjust plan and approach as needed
  • Ability to work with electronic sensors and ECUs on a test vehicle
  • Being able to work independently once tasks have been assigned
  • Must present regularly (at least each other week) progress made for tasks that have been assigned

  • The intern will be expected to formulate algorithms to aid the analysis of vehicle-in-the-loop testing procedures for experimental disturbance assessment
  • Additionally, the role will include interfacing of some CV2X hardware and vehicle state measurement systems on the test platform
