  • FleishmanHillard is a global integrated communications agency delivering transformational outcomes for some of the world’s biggest brands. Our Los Angeles office is seeking qualified candidates for our Alfred Fleishman Diversity Fellowship. Fellows contribute to client projects and gain practical experience in the field of integrated communications from some of the industry’s best counselors. Our ideal candidate will join us full-time 40 hours per week starting in Summer 2024. This is a hybrid role based in our Los Angeles office.

Requirements

  • College grad (undergraduate or graduate) with the ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, Pacific Time hours, for a minimum of six months starting in Summer 2024. The ability to work in-person at least three days per week.
  • A strong career interest in integrated communications. A background or strong interest in working with clients in the consumer lifestyle, technology, and healthcare spaces is a plus.
  • A demonstrated passion for ethnic or cultural diversity and experience advocating for DE&I in either the work, school or volunteer setting.
  • Proven written and oral communication skills, strong time management ability.
  • Previous internship or equivalent experience in communications, public relations, marketing or advertising.
  • Committed to cultivating diverse teams and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist consumer lifestyle and technology companies with media relations, content creation, social media, and marketing communications initiatives.
  • Serve as a key architect of the systems and processes that structure the agency’s DE&I activities; contribute to development and planning of select DE&I initiatives.
  • Write, edit, and proofread materials including, but not limited to correspondence with senior leaders, detailed recaps of strategic meetings, promotional collaterals, presentations and executive communications.
  • Monitor, research, compile and analyze client media coverage in both online and offline channels.
  • Contribute to new business development, including participation in brainstorms and research.
