Responsibilities

  • To work under the close supervision of a painter and assist with carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance duties.

  • To observe and learn how work is carried out by the painter in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and all statutory regulations in force at the time.
  • Ensure to the best of their ability that the safety and welfare of themselves and others is paramount during the execution of his/her work.
  • The apprentice shall be responsible to the Maintenance Supervisors at all times in the first instances.
  • Be able to carry out his/her duties in a satisfactory manner with supervision to a required standard.
  • The apprentice is responsible to attend college and carry out all the necessary training required to complete this course.
