What is the salary for the Apprentice - Rail Engineering Technician/Fitter position?
The salary for this position is £16,480.
What is the location of the apprenticeship?
The apprenticeship is based at our Crewe site.
What are the entry requirements for this apprenticeship?
Candidates need to have GCSE or equivalent in 5 subjects including Maths, English, and Science at Grades 5-9.
What will I be studying during the apprenticeship?
You will be working towards completing a Level 3 Diploma in Rail Engineering Knowledge and the Level 3 Competency in Rail Engineering.
What type of tasks will I be involved in during the apprenticeship?
You will be involved in the overhaul and maintenance of bogies, wheelsets, traction motors, pantographs, HVAC units, and the construction of new build bogies for HS2, among other tasks.
Is there an application deadline for this apprenticeship?
Yes, the application deadline is 28th February 2025.
Will there be opportunities for progression after completing the apprenticeship?
Yes, upon completion of the apprenticeship, there will be opportunities to step up into technical expert roles and other positions within the company.
