  • Education and Experience:
  • Enrolled in an accredited university or college and pursuing a degree in Architectural History, History, Historic Preservation, or a related field
  • Experience with MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, and Word)

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop historical contexts
  • Prepare written architectural descriptions and evaluations of significance
  • Perform fieldwork tasks, including photographing resources, and using tablets for data collection
  • Conduct archival research online and at libraries and repositories
  • Prepare inventory forms and technical reports
  • Support consultation with state, federal, and local agencies
  • Additional duties may include support for local and National Register of Historic Places nominations, historic preservation plans, historic structure reports, cultural resource education materials, Historic American Buildings Survey/Historic American Engineering Record (HABS/HAER) documentation, planning and implementing of mitigation, and other types of special projects
