  • - Demonstrate expertise in the performance of unsupervised exercise testing, haemodynamic monitoring, ambulatory holter and blood pressure monitoring, and electrocardiography.
  • - Develop expertise in the performance of the full range of investigations carried out the CIU.
  • - Interpret technical information & data from investigations such as ETT, DSE-TSE, in Tape analysis, ECGs and be able to recognise abnormal findings and report them through appropriate channels.
  • - Recognise the significance of investigation findings/diagnoses and act on these accordingly.
  • - Be trained and accredited under the auspices of the Resuscitation Council (UK) and to partake in providing basic life support and defibrillation as and when necessary.
  • - Demonstrate a professional approach to patient care, and be able to communicate with patients clearly.
  • - Effectively communicate within the department and other departments throughout the Trust.
