Responsibilities

  • Under the direct supervision of an experienced Biomedical Equipment Services Technician, perform and document equipment incoming acceptance inspections
  • Under the direct supervision of an experienced Biomedical Equipment Services Technician, complete and document scheduled maintenance on medical equipment
  • Under the direct supervision of an experienced Biomedical Equipment Services Technician, troubleshoot, repair medical equipment and document activities
  • Under the supervision of an experienced Biomedical Equipment Services Technician, Supervisor or Manager, document all service and maintenance related activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Under the supervision of an experienced Biomedical Equipment Services Technician, Supervisor or Manager, conduct rounds throughout the hospital
  • Become familiar, and act in accordance with applicable Federal, State and Local regulations governing the repair and maintenance of medical devices
  • Represent the Department of Clinical Engineering & Biomedical Equipment Services in a compassionate, professional manor to all patients, guests and OSF Healthcare Mission Partners
