What is the duration of the internship?
The internship will run from June 16, 2025 to August 22, 2025.
What is the compensation for this internship?
The position is paid at a rate of $22.50 per hour for full-time work, which is 35 hours per week.
Are there any specific educational requirements for applicants?
Yes, applicants must be pursuing a graduate program in areas such as conservation, water resources, hydrology, environmental sciences, geospatial planning, or agricultural and water policy. Applicants studying outside these areas are also encouraged to apply.
Is there an opportunity for professional development during the internship?
Yes, interns will have access to professional development opportunities, including development discussions with their manager, online courses through Cornell University’s eCornell program, speed mentoring, and resume/interviewing practice sessions.
What skills and qualifications are preferred for this internship?
While not required, preferred qualifications include subject expertise in working with communities and stakeholders in the Rio Grande in Colorado, New Mexico, or Texas.
Is there an expectation for interns to work independently or as part of a team?
Interns should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

No, WWF is unable to employ interns located in Hawaii, Kentucky, Nevada, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, and Wyoming.
