Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree
  • Demonstrated ability to take independent action to achieve results – Self Starter / Motivator
  • Excellent verbal & written communication, with ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong business acumen: Ability to start at a high level and go deep to understand business problems
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong relationship building skills – (Internal team, business stakeholders)
  • Facilitate various employee level meetings, discussions and workshops on current and future state process maps
  • Oversee key steps in the process improvement effort: the collection and analysis of financial and non-financial data, the development of solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Technical skills that are not required but considered an asset:
  • Jira, Confluence, Tableau

Responsibilities

  • A passion or demonstrated interest in markets/economics/current events is critical to success: The Intern will support the team with some or all of the following activities.
  • Work with one of the following teams within TDAM - Fundamental Equities Research, Fixed Income or Asset Liability Management, Asset Allocation, Alternatives, or Investment Risk Management.
  • Build and maintain analytics to help facilitate portfolio decision making, data analysis or financial analysis to help understand and recommend investments or to better understand the macro-economic environment
  • Help run and support mission critical reporting used by the portfolio managers and attend and participate in team meetings and investment discussions.
  • Validate data to ensure the integrity of the data and information
  • Support projects focused on the ongoing improvement of our processes
  • Undertake projects touching on strategy, marketing, business and product development, portfolio management, finance, risk, governance, client service, operations and trading
