What are the main responsibilities of a Mechanical Engineering Intern?
The main responsibilities include working on integrated architecture and engineering project design teams, assisting in the design of HVAC, plumbing and/or fire protection systems using Revit, performing heating and cooling load calculations, calculating pressure drop and static pressure for air and hydronic systems, participating in design meetings, receiving mentorship from experienced engineers, and visiting construction or completed project sites.
What educational qualifications are required for this internship?
Candidates must have completed at least their sophomore year or have graduate standing in an accredited mechanical or architectural engineering program by the time of the internship.
Is experience with specific software required for this role?
Some experience with Revit, Trane Trace, IESVE, and the Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
When do the summer internships take place?
The 12-week summer internships are held between May and August.
What is the anticipated hourly rate for this internship position?
The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $24.00 to $25.00 per hour.
