  • Minimum Requirements:
  • Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and must have completed at least two years of study.
  • Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions.
  • Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with engineering design software, such as AutoCAD, Bently Open Roads, or similar.
  • Familiarity with transportation planning, highway design, bridge structures, traffic engineering, track engineering, or water resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in both individual and team settings.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
  • Philadelphia Intern will rotate amongst several transportation-based technical departments, such as Aviation Planning & Engineering, Bridge Structures, Civil-Highway, Civil-Water Resources, Architectural Engineering, Rail and Transit Systems during their internship based on project workload in the Philadelphia, PA office. The goal of the program is to develop a broad understanding of the various technical fields in Transportation Engineering.
  • Conshohocken Intern will rotate amongst several transportation-based technical departments, such as Environmental Planning, Bridge Structures, Civil-Highway, Civil-Water Resources, Geotechnical and Traffic Engineering based on project workload in the Conshohocken, PA office. The goal of the program is to develop a broad understanding of the various technical fields in Transportation Engineering.
