  • Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering (ICE) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Airfield - Civil Engineering Intern to assist the team in the planning and laying out of runways, taxiways, hangars, terminal buildings, parking decks and airport grounds. The intern will have an opportunity to watch the construction work of leveling fields, surfacing runways and drainage systems. The intern will aid in the design and delivery of projects to include planning studies for improvements, redevelopment and expansion of the airport, parking facilities, roadway systems, ground transportation systems, surveillance systems, and zoning problems.
  • This internship spans 12 weeks, starting sometime in May and ending in August. The exact start and end dates will be determined during the recruitment process.


  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university is required. Academic Junior or Senior Desired.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred.
  • Adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of engineering principles, methods, and practices.
  • A valid Driver's License is required with a safe driving record and must complete a pre-employment screening.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • ICE is a drug-free workplace.

  • Aid in the production of engineering drawings and specifications, production of engineering investigations.
  • Analyze technical problems and devising new approaches and alternative solutions.
  • Assist engineers with the design and drafting of preliminary and final plans.
  • Maintain organized documentation/archives of design files, drawings, and construction submittals.
  • Provide construction assistance and aid the team with Requests for Information (RFI’s) as necessary.
