Responsibilities

  • Deliver concept-to-construction design of: stormwater management systems, critical utility networks, site grading and layout, and roadway and pavement infrastructure
  • Utilize 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Civil 3D to support multi-disciplinary design processes (coordination, clash detection, visualization, automation, etc.)
  • Produce final project deliverables (plans, profiles, details, specifications)
  • Use Hydraulic modeling tools such as InfoWorks, Hydraflow and EPANET to analyze and design stormwater, sanitary, potable water systems, and flood protection systems
  • Research and apply codes, specifications and standards for design of the above elements
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to apply skills in delivering sustainable outcomes
  • Apply understanding of all phases of the planning, design and construction process
  • Research requirements of regulatory environment for gaining approval at different stages of project delivery
  • Engage with stakeholders, collaborators, and clients to develop designs that align with project goals and drivers
  • Support development of report writing, calculation packages, and specifications
