What will I be doing as a Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2024?
As a Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2024, you will work in a team environment and have exposure to residential and commercial development projects, which may include infrastructure design, construction observation, contract administration, land and earthworks analysis, stormwater management, and studies for feasibility, servicing, drainage, and property development potential. You will gather project data, prepare reports and drawings, perform calculations, assist with CAD drafting and design, attend meetings with project stakeholders, and perform other related tasks as assigned.
What qualifications are required for this internship?
The qualifications required for this internship include proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), understanding of basic AutoCAD and Civil 3D, strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and take direction, ability to work independently, a good driving record and valid driver's license, and successful passing of an AutoCAD Evaluation.
What education and experience is necessary for this internship?
To be eligible for this internship, you must be in progress towards earning a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
