Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or secondary degree in the professional discipline related to this internship.
  • An interest in acquiring mining specific experience in your discipline.
  • Proficiency with software relevant to the professional discipline of this internship.
  • You must be a self-starter and be able to work in a team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Health and Safety:
  • Understanding and working per the requirements of the Stantec Safety Culture.   • Working in compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations for Stantec and its Clients.
  • Developing an understanding of applicable safety codes, regulations and guidelines.
  • Role and Tasks:
  • Actively engage with project team members such as project managers and project technical leads to complete tasks.
  • Contribute to the preparation of quality technical documents and/or drawings.
  • Contribute to design calculations, equipment/material specifications and data sheets, discipline design drawings etc. with required supervision commensurate with your level of experience.
  • Collect and/or analyze field data.
  • Work with a multi-discipline engineering and design team on a day-to-day basis.
  • Coordinate/participate in the preparation of project designs and details.
  • Participate in team meetings and project meetings.
  • Perform various office tasks as required to deliver a quality product on schedule.
