Responsibilities

  • POWER Engineers is currently seeking a talented civil/structural engineering student for a co-op or internship in the Power Delivery Overhead Line Department in Trussville, Alabama. Under the guidance of multiple experienced engineers, the successful candidate will be involved in aspects of transmission line design which may include overhead transmission line and substation structures, wire systems, foundations, their related facilities, the development of material lists, and construction drawings. The successful candidate may also perform basic engineering calculations as it pertains to distribution design.
  • In addition to working under the guidance of experienced team members, the selected intern will also participate in sessions designed to develop your skills and provide networking opportunities. Those sessions include:
  • Professional Development sessions focused on resume writing, interview tips, building a LinkedIn profile, and more.
  • Early Talent Speaker Series where leaders speak to interns about their role, vision for the company, and career path, offer career advice, and a Q&A session.
  • Fun Friday activities where interns company-wide join to network and have some fun while doing it.
