Responsibilities

  • POWER Engineers is seeking a self-motivated civil or structural engineering student for a summer 2025 internship in the Portland, Oregon office.
  • Under the guidance of experienced staff, the successful candidate will learn to design overhead transmission line structures, foundations, and their related facilities; create bidding, construction, or record drawings and support documents; become familiar with industry-specific design engineering concepts/software; etc.
  • The successful candidate can expect to work in a fast-paced team environment with high expectations for learning, individual growth, and personal responsibility.
  • In addition to working under the guidance of experienced team members, the selected intern will also participate in sessions designed to develop your skills and provide networking opportunities.
  • Those sessions include:
  • Professional Development sessions focused on resume writing, interview tips, building a LinkedIn profile, and more.
  • Early Talent Speaker Series where leaders speak to interns about their role, vision for the company, and career path, offer career advice, and a Q&A session.
