Description

  • You will work with the Client Relations team within our Corporate & Investor Relations department. The team manages all aspects of the business relationships with our institutional investor clients who have entrusted BCI to manage their collective capital and generate long-term wealth on their behalf. The team works to build long-term relationships based on trust and to ensure that we exceed our clients’ investment performance and service expectations.

Requirements

  • Has a keen interest in investments and a drive to continually learn about financial markets.
  • Demonstrates an ability to gather and process large amounts of data and information and present it in a concise manner.
  • Likes to solve problems using creative and innovative solutions.
  • Enjoys building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and team members. Experience in a customer service role would be an asset.
  • Demonstrates an extremely strong work ethic and displays initiative to strive to deliver value above and beyond the job description.
  • Has relevant prior co-op experience.
  • Preference will be given to students who have shown initiative and a passion for the investment industry.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Interest in finance, economics, and investment management.

Responsibilities

  • Support the efforts of the Client Relations team to proactively ensure that BCI exceeds our clients’ service expectations.
  • Conduct independent research and prepare reports/presentations on a wide range of investment topics for client meetings and for internal staff.
  • Develop a strong understanding of client needs and the specific investment objectives for various institutional investors (e.g., pensions, insurance, endowment).
  • Develop client-ready responses to their requests – understand individual client needs/concerns and be able to tailor a response.
  • Assist with the coordination of client meetings, as well as organizing internal resources’ participation and attendance at client events.
  • Assist with client education by producing written materials and educational presentations.
  • Actively adheres to compliance and risk management policies and participates in BCI’s business continuity plan.
